Job Description:

Site Engineer - Coffs Harbour Bypass Project:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on the Coffs Harbour Bypass project, a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass the Coffs Harbour urban area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate construction risks by applying control requirements to the scope of works.
  2. Procurement and Subcontracting: Assist with the procurement of project materials and letting of subcontracts.
  3. Site Management: Oversee site construction works, ensuring quality progress on a daily basis.
  4. Interface Management: Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to guarantee compliance with the program.
  5. Cost Management: Manage costs associated with the scope of work, including tracking costs accurately and maintaining cost forecasts.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Construction Procedures, and Site Access Plans.
  7. Quality, Safety, and Environment: Oversee aspects of Safety, Environmental, and Quality across the scope of works.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor of Engineering, major in Civil and/or Structural.
  2. Skills and Experience: Ability to interpret designs for construction implementation, experience with cost tracking, and providing input into work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, and ability to develop and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships.
  4. Proactive and Innovative Approach: Proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
