The role of Hospitality/Food Service Attendant is a permanent position working 8am-2pm at an aged care facility.

About the Opportunity

This permanent opportunity exists within our food services team, providing exceptional dining experiences for residents.

You will be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient food service to residents according to established food standards. You will provide kitchen and food preparation support to the Chef, undertaking basic food preparation under direction of senior staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing all food service activities to residents, including serving meals and dining room set-up and clearing.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and handling.
  • Conducting kitchen and pantry stock inventory when required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic Food Safety Practices certificate - HLTFS7A (Essential).
  • Food Handler qualification.
  • Sound hospitality experience.
  • Solid food preparation skills.
  • Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication style - able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Team player, ability to go the extra mile.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
  • Current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (mandatory).
