About the Role

As a Community Support Specialist, you will work with clients to assist them in achieving their goals and increasing their independence and participation within the community.

  • You will provide support to individuals with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living.
  • You will promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences, and skill development for your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with social outings, shopping trips, GP/specialist appointments and activities of daily living such as toileting, showering, and dressing.
  • Servicing clients at their respective homes with light domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance.
  • Liaising with families and representatives of your client as required.
Requirements:
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (within the last 36 months).
  • Proof of working rights - Passport or visa.
  • Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Working With Children Check issued in Western Australia.
  • COVID vaccinations (with booster).
  • Previous experience as a support worker in the health/disability sector and a relevant Cert III qualification are mandatory.
