Job Opportunity

Avivo is looking for a Community Support Specialist to join our team in the Yanchep area. This role forms an integral link between support workers and coordination teams, providing quality services to customers.

The Community Support Specialist will work with customers who require specialized high care skills, including bowel care, hoisting, and complex behaviors & communication. They will develop a good understanding of the customer and their support team, coach, mentor, and supervise support workers, review and assess services for customers, maintain records on customers' progress, and aid in reporting back to funders, including NDIS.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with disabilities and frail aged, a Certificate III in Disability & Aged Care or working towards this, demonstrated experience/competency at a supervisory level, previous experience supporting customers requiring high skills, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will be required to work a range of shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday with some weekend availability.

We offer an hourly rate of $34.04 plus super and afternoon/evening shift loading, weekend penalties, and all leave accruals, option to salary package up to $18,550 to reduce taxable income, a mobile phone & laptop provided for work, extra 2 days of leave for your wellbeing, pay for kilometers and time travelled between supports, comprehensive training opportunities, and a supportive team.
