**Job Overview**

We seek a skilled Technical Claims Specialist to fill this key role.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in claims handling, with assessment experience and technical skills.

This is a permanent full-time position suited for a Senior or experienced Claims Assessor looking to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to assessors as they progress through their delegated authority limits.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to the Assessments department.
  • Review claims and provide feedback to aid learning and development.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to the department.
  • Analyse trends and recommend solutions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated assessment skills, including advanced knowledge of product and policy, medical, claim audit functions, system, and legislation impacting the life insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, and coaching assessors, with an ability to motivate and provide constructive feedback.
  • A problem solver with the ability to look at claims from different perspectives and drive quality assessment outcomes.
  • Strong time management and co-ordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication competency.
