Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface preparation using water blasting, sandblasting, mechanical tools, and needleguns
  • Performing repair and maintenance tasks including climbing in and around pipes, underneath deck plates, and confined spaces
  • Applying coatings via spray, brush, and roller
  • Delivering high-quality results on tank reef structures and complex marine environments
  • Meeting project specifications and quality standards
  • Complying with strict safety and site protocols
  • Collaborating in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Comfortable working in tight, enclosed or elevated areas
  • Strong skills in surface preparation and coating techniques
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
Requirements:
  • Federal Police Check
  • White Card
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial painting - Marine painting, Steel / Metal painting and blasting experience is highly advantageous
Preferred Skills:
  • DCAC (Defence Common Access Card)
  • EWP Licence
  • Cert III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application
  • Mechanical prep experience
  • Familiarity with International Paints
