Spray Painter - Industrial Coatings Specialist


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter with expertise in industrial coatings to join our team. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces using spray guns and/or roller application.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by ensuring they are clean, sanded, and masked correctly.
  • Apply paint or coatings using spray guns and/or roller application to achieve an even finish.
  • Work with a range of materials including metal, fibreglass, composites, and plastic.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, modifications, and upgrades to components and equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to achieve efficient inspection, servicing, overhaul, and repair of passenger trains.
  • Share knowledge with team members to achieve objectives and maintain safety and quality standards.

About You / Qualifications:
  • You will have experience in a range of trade skills, qualifications, training, and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • You must be able to undertake the full scope of tasks required to complete job functions, including tasks across trade and non-trade streams.
  • You should be capable of self-directed work with minimum supervision and contributing as part of a team.
  • Experience working with metal, fibreglass, composite, and plastic materials is desirable.
