Seeking a motivated and skilled Advanced Trainee to join our Emergency Department team.

This is a minimum 6-month term, based in Melbourne where you will be responsible for assessing and treating presentations to the emergency department under supervision from senior doctors.

You will be part of a collaborative team and report to the Clinical Director, the Directors of EM training and the medical team leader on shift.

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be able to communicate clearly and accurately with patients and colleagues
  • Lead by being a positive role model to junior staff
  • Direct immediate and future learning, informed by reflective practice and role model influences
  • Take responsibility for self-directed learning and participating in departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills
  • Teach junior staff the clinical skills expected of a novice clinician

Requirements include:

  • General registration with APHRA
  • Valid ACLS/APLS certificates
  • TS3/4 trainee with ACEM
