Overview

Join to apply for the Advanced Trainee Emergency role at Epworth.

In this minimum 6 month term, based in Melbourne you will be responsible for assessing and treating presentations to the emergency department under supervision from senior doctors.

Responsibilities
  • Independently assessing and managing multiple patients under supervision of seniors
  • Independently prioritising a set of decisions/tasks/referrals for multiple patients
To be successful in this role
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to lead by being a positive role model to junior staff
  • Able to direct immediate and future learning, informed with reflective practice and role model influences
  • Ability to take responsibility for self-directed learning and participating in departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills
  • Actively teach junior staff the clinical skills expected of a novice clinician
You will have
  • General registration with APHRA
  • Valid ACLS/APLS certificates
  • TS3/4 trainee with ACEM
