Work in a team dedicated to helping people make positive changes to their lives

Fixed Term, full time position based in Dandenong through to May 2026

Earn $97,955 - $111,142 per year (plus super) with guaranteed yearly increases. Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services, and community resources.

CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex and violent offences on post-sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole. Evidence suggests that re-integrating into the community after imprisonment requires transitional support to reduce reoffending risk.

Advanced Practitioners manage a caseload of predominantly complex and high-risk individuals sentenced to Community Correction Orders. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, preparing case plans, providing interventions, challenging offending behaviors, addressing underlying factors, and monitoring compliance with court order obligations. They also support individuals in successfully completing their court orders while balancing community safety risks.

Advanced Practitioners may lead and manage a small team of Case Managers and Case Officers.

Why we love this work

Community-based rehabilitation can be more effective at addressing offending behavior than custody. You will hear individuals' stories, understand their perspectives, and hold them accountable, helping give them a second chance to positively contribute to the community.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  1. Conduct risk assessments
  2. Prepare case plans
  3. Provide interventions
  4. Coordinate service providers and care teams
  5. Address underlying causes of offending
  6. Lead and develop case management staff

  • Experience in effective case management with complex clients
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence with challenging behaviors
  • Ability to model pro-social behaviors

  • Competitive salary with yearly increases
  • Generous leave entitlements
