The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager - Prescription Obesity & Pain to join our ANZ Prescription Marketing team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Prescription, this role involves developing and shaping annual marketing plans in conjunction with business partners. Execution of plans within allocated budgets will be achieved through strategic planning, market research, customer insight analysis, competitor strategy evaluation, and brand communications optimization.

This will be accomplished by:

  • Utilizing sound product knowledge and understanding of brand attributes
  • Interpreting market dynamics, drivers, distribution channels, and anticipating market forecast/trends
  • Understanding customer requirements, behaviors, and segmentation
  • Prioritization and time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility and stakeholder collaboration to take on tasks or projects across different brands or therapeutic areas
  • Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional team members, peers, suppliers, agencies, and key account customers
  • Driving tactical programs leveraging critical success factors
  • Evaluating promotion and advertising program effectiveness and continually evolving for improved performance
  • Measuring and analyzing KPIs and ROIs throughout and post-implementation periods
  • Loading and tracking promotional material into approval systems
  • Effective management of brand finances, budgets, and forecasts, as well as resource allocation
  • Collaborating with agency partners and exploring new channel delivery strategies to maximize potential and ROI
  • Fostering close relationships with the Sales Team to execute brand strategy
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop annual sales volume forecasts, expense budgets, and identify potential supply issues
  • Leading digital planning efforts to ensure integration into omnichannel customer experiences

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Knowledge of marketing principles and the Australian prescription medicines industry
  • A minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical experience, sales, business planning, and product management
  • Tertiary education in science, marketing, or a related business discipline
  • Full understanding of Medicines Australia's Code of Conduct
  • Experience in obesity/diabetes or similar prescription GP marketing and sales (desired)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Customer focus and creativity
