Senior Advisor to Parliamentary Leadership

The role of Adviser to Senator is a senior position based in Australian Parliament House. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on complex policy priorities and contribute to the Government's agenda.
About the Role:- Provide strategic advice and support to the Senator on policy, public administration, and political matters.
- Maintain effective relationships with government stakeholders, including minister's offices and the Australian Public Service.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to advance the Government's priorities and provide advice on parliamentary business.
- Analyse and prepare reports, papers, policy statements, briefing notes, and statistical information to inform decision-making.
- Develop policy initiatives that promote gender equality and advance the Minister for Women portfolio.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Demonstrated experience advancing gender equality through policy or programming advice and implementation.
- Strong understanding of government processes and translating policy into practice.
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think strategically as part of a small team and deliver quality work in a high-pressure environment.
