Job Title

Ministerial & Parliamentary Officers contribute to the coordination and management of services for the Minister for Indigenous Australians.

As a key member of our team, you will see first-hand how your work makes a positive contribution to the agency and its stakeholders.

We are seeking a professional and approachable individual who can provide assistance and services to a range of stakeholders and team members.

The role requires someone with sound judgement, able to identify matters requiring escalation and exercise discretion under defined procedural parameters.

You will be responsible for process and managing ministerial correspondence, assist with enquiries from external agencies and stakeholders, and contribute to the improvement of guidelines and provide advice.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage ministerial correspondence

  • Exercise discretion and judgement
  • Contribute to the improvement of guidelines and provide advice
  • Coordinate briefs and information requests

In addition to these responsibilities, you may also assist with the management of the administration and maintenance of the agency's parliamentary document management system tenant, including helpdesk service.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that has a high degree of visibility within the Minister's Office and the agency. An effective interpersonal style along with drive and first-rate judgement will make you an asset to the team.
