About The Opportunity

As a Senior Credit Analyst at Partale, you will be responsible for assessing deals that come from our talented team of Business Development Managers. You will work autonomously, or in partnership with the Credit Manager, to either invite the application or workshop the scenario with the team.

You will be challenged, empowered, and encouraged to work collaboratively across the business to get the best result for the borrower, the broker, and Partale. Amongst other key responsibilities, you will be:

  • Responsible for the preparation, assessment, and submission of consumer and business loan applications.
  • Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (sales, credit, brokers).
  • Suggesting process improvements that will further streamline or strengthen the way we work, communicate, and assess deals.
  • Mentoring and assisting Partale in growing and educating our more junior credit team members. Your experience and insights will be valued and used to train and develop the colleagues around you.
  • Completing due diligence while assessing the loan application and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Complying with all legislative requirements, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing Act.
  • Assisting with internal reporting and other administrative duties.
About Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build relationships. You will be partnering with a range of internal and external stakeholders, so we would love to see someone with strong communication skills (written and verbal), a warm and cooperative demeanor, and a willingness to collaborate.

  • A minimum of 5 years of applicable credit and/or underwriting experience in Mortgage/Finance/Banking markets.
  • Any experience in the non-conforming space will be highly desired.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mortgage terminology.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex company and trust financials and structures.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Positive and professional approach and attitude.
  • Strong organizational skill sets - able to multi-task and deal with multiple scenarios that are progressing at different paces.
  • Show initiative and a drive to contribute to Partale's business, growth, and culture.
  • The ability to work from an office environment 5 days per week.
  • Having previously held a delegated lending authority will be highly desirable.
