Aged Care Governance Specialist

The Quality Coordinator position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a supportive team focused on enhancing quality clinical governance and compliance in a new residential aged care residence.
Job DescriptionThis part-time role involves assisting in the process of continuous improvement, aligning with the intent of the Aged Care Standards and associated requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support continuous improvement efforts to meet the Aged Care Standards and related requirements.
- Assist in ensuring 100% compliance within the Quality Standards through auditing and policy processes.
- Educate, coordinate and mentor clinical staff to uphold quality and governance standards.
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 3 years experience in the aged care sector, preferably in a quality role.
- Proven understanding of quality, compliance and clinical governance principles.
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care accreditation process.
- Excellent understanding of quality assurance and auditing processes.
- Able to learn new systems and technologies.
- Experience in continuous improvement, gap analysis and risk assessment would be an advantage.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate, educate and mentor clinical staff.
- Part-time schedule of three days per week, with 7.5 hours per day.
