About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, trade qualified Chef to join our kitchen team at our client's residential aged care facility located in Tamworth, NSW.
Roster:
- Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday from 9:30am till 6:00pm.
- Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 9:30am till 6:00pm.
- Weekend and Public Holiday loadings apply.
*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check or be willing to apply for one*
Key attributes and responsibilities
- Previous aged care catering experience is highly desirable.
- Commercial cookery qualifications essential.
- High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and food safety knowledge.
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care
- Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
- Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with aged care food service guidelines.
- Assist the chef manager with menu design and implementation
- Excellent client and resident liaison skills.
- Have reliable transport.
