The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Hunter NSW.
As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll be helping residents enjoy a game of Chess. Come along and prepare to be challenged as you volunteer your time at HammondCare Waratah. You'll be helping to reduce social isolation.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
Ideally you'll be available either 10am-12noon or 2pm – 4pm, one day per week for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable day and time with you.
18 years or older
