About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Platforms Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and building our world-class data platform to enable data science, AI, and business insights across the entire group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and build our data platform
  • Utilize knowledge of data pipelines, architecture, and job orchestration to design solutions
  • Elicit requirements from stakeholders using facilitation and translation into functional designs
  • Provide support and participate in functional and non-functional testing

Requirements

  • Confidence in navigating group data products and integrating large data sets
  • Experience with data design, flows, layers, and semantics
  • Ability to analyze data profiles, lineage, and patterns in data risk mitigation strategies
  • Gathering requirements and providing input into solution design and data modelling decisions
