Job Opportunity: Assistant Store Manager

An exciting role has become available for a highly skilled individual to support the efficient operation of a store and drive customer loyalty by leading sales initiatives and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • To drive sales and maximise revenue through effective execution of promotional activities, cross-selling, and up-selling across the store team.
  • To execute operational activities efficiently, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration.
  • To ensure in-store visual merchandising is maintained at high standards, ensuring the store's appearance aligns with brand image.
  • To support the Store Manager in managing daily work schedules in line with labour policies and models to ensure each department is fully staffed.
  • To attend to administrative responsibilities efficiently, including submitting weekly time and attendance records to HR.
Requirements
  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
  • Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG environment or successful completion of a trainee store management programme
  • Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios)
Skills Required

  • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures
  • Knowledge of customer service excellence
