Plant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Coordinator to join our team on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of plant assessors, ensuring plant is onboarded correctly and maintained to the required standard and quality for executing the work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of plant assessors to ensure plant is onboarded correctly and maintained to the required standard and quality.
- Consult with key stakeholders to ensure plant and heavy vehicles meet the required standards for the project.
- Evaluate and ensure major suppliers/subcontractors/consultants are capable of meeting project requirements in all respects.
- Obtain and review compliance and/or maintenance records of plant and equipment and ensure such records are appropriately filed.
- Undertake plant and equipment pre-mobilisation inspections, and regular audits of plant and equipment.
- Assist in the investigation process of any Plant related safety and environmental incidents.
- Assist with developing the monthly logistic KPI report and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated track record in managing the maintenance of fleets, plants, and equipment, along with robust skills in scheduling and strategic planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to engage in proactive behaviour and exercise initiative, managing time and multiple plant at once.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- A demonstrable understanding of safe working practices as they relate to the type of work to be performed.
