The Assembly Plant Manager is a critical role within Intralox, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Australia assembly plant. This position is based in the Melbourne Assembly Plant in Epping and reports directly to the General Manager South-Apac.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all daily operations, including assembly, production planning, warehouse, shipping, equipment & facility maintenance, logistics to customers & carrier performance
  • Optimize inter-company supply chain and materials management
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring compliance with global guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee productivity analysis, cost control, resources, lead capacity, and materials planning
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service levels, increase productivity, and enhance efficiency
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees and compliance with local, regional, and international regulations in all facets of the operations
  • Provide timely and efficient reporting to senior management
  • Meet business plan objectives and set performance standards and goals for the team
  • Build high-performance teams through ongoing performance and skill improvement planning for each individual team member
  • Promote the Laitram Continuous Improvement culture
  • Participate in regional and global leadership teams
  • Oversee Melbourne site expansion
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics Management
  • Demonstrated successful management in an international setting, global company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management or Engineering
  • Knowledge of global supply chain
  • Strong people management skills, high level of organizational capabilities
  • Ability to set high standards and motivate, coach team members
  • Multi-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively across borders and cultures
  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
  • Computer literacy, Oracle E-Business Suite
