Plant Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Coordinator to join our team on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance project. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of plant assessors to ensure that plant is onboarded correctly and maintained to the required standard.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that plant and heavy vehicles meet the necessary standards for the project.
- Evaluate and ensure that major suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants are capable of meeting project requirements.
- Obtain and review compliance and maintenance records of plant and equipment, and ensure that such records are properly filed.
- Conduct plant and equipment pre-mobilisation inspections, and regular audits of plant and equipment.
- Assist in the investigation process of any plant-related safety and environmental incidents.
- Assist with developing the monthly logistics KPI report and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
About You
- Demonstrated track record in managing the maintenance of fleets, plants, and equipment, along with robust skills in scheduling and strategic planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to engage in proactive behavior and exercise initiative, managing time and multiple plant at once.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrable understanding of safe working practices as they relate to the type of work to be performed.
