Job Opportunity:

The Youth Support Officer role is a dynamic chance to work with young people aged 12–21, helping them build confidence, resilience, and life skills.

You will provide tailored support through case management, advocacy, and community engagement, while connecting them to vital services like mental health, housing, and education.

The job involves delivering innovative programs that promote wellbeing, self-esteem, and independence, building strong relationships with families, schools, and community networks, and supporting young people through court processes and crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client-centred case management and early intervention strategies.
  • Facilitate access to education, employment, and specialist services.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and referrals in line with service agreements.
  • Participate in community networks and represent the organization positively.
  • Ensure compliance with child safety, youth justice, and mandatory reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services or similar field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people and a deep understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • A current Blue Card (or eligibility to obtain one), Suitability Check, and Open Driver's Licence.
