
Clinical Leadership Position

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership to all staff, ensuring person-centred care is planned, implemented, evaluated and maintained at a high standard.
The role acts as a professional and clinical role model for all staff, setting clinical standards and achieving high quality evidence-based nursing care, in collaboration with the Inter-Disciplinary Team.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge and skills while assuming a management focus in the ward/unit, accepting the responsibilities and authority of the Nurse Unit Manager in their absence.
They accept responsibility and are accountable for designated management portfolios and projects, with the support of the Nurse Unit Manager.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia.
Applicants should possess advanced clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to demonstrate expertise in clinical leadership, education, research, and innovation.
A strong understanding of healthcare policy, legislation, and regulations is also essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
