Assistant Director, Global Security Operations

Austrade is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Global Security Operations. This position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Austrade security plan, security policy, and related procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Security Framework Management: Monitor the effectiveness and compliance of Austrade's security management framework and notify senior management of issues as they arise.
- Security Plan Development: Manage the development and implementation of the Austrade security plan, security policy, and related procedures.
- Security Projects: Lead on security projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Incident Management: Manage reported security incidents and/or breaches from notification through to resolution and finalising records, including post-incident reporting / investigation as appropriate.
- Training and Awareness: Oversight delivery of Austrade's security-related training and awareness programs.
- Specialised Advice: Develop specialised advice, and maintain liaison, on the following:
- Threat and Risk Assessment: Threat and risk assessment of Austrade locations and events, including liaison with other agencies as relevant.
- Information and Intelligence-Sharing: Information and intelligence-sharing, including liaison with other agencies as appropriate.
- Physical Security Standards: Physical security standards, options, and support, including liaison with other agencies as relevant.
- Relationship Building: Develop productive working relationships with Austrade offices in Australia and overseas, other Austrade business units, and other Government departments.
- Leadership: Act as the Director, Security and Business Continuity, when required.
- Australian Citizenship: Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
- Security Clearance: Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
