Job Overview

As a Senior Consultant, Industrial Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our payroll platforms and ensuring compliance from an IR viewpoint.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and drive meaningful change.

The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law, as well as hands-on experience with payroll and a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.

A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate will be able to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex Enterprise Agreements and provide expert advice on IR matters.
  • Play a critical role in payroll compliance and driving effective remediation processes.
  • Collaborate with Legal teams to clarify and action compliance requirements, coordinate with Project Managers to ensure milestones are met, and engage with IT professionals to translate IR needs into technical solutions.
  • Design comprehensive testing regimes and robust review processes to ensure the payroll platform is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and documenting outcomes to contribute to the integrity and success of the new system.

Requirements
  • Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.
  • Tertiary qualified with a degree in Employee/Industrial Relations/Human Resources/Law or related discipline.
