Aboriginal Heritage Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aboriginal Heritage Consultant to join our team in a period of rapid expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in archaeology and heritage consulting to broaden their experience, work on diverse projects, and be supported by industry leaders.

  1. Conduct Aboriginal heritage assessments, surveys, excavations, and sub-surface testing, building relationships with communities.
  2. Work on a wide range of projects, including high-profile large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure developments.
  3. Support the heritage team in conducting field site recording and research activities.
  4. Develop and implement effective strategies for engaging with communities and stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field (e.g., archaeology, anthropology, environmental science).
  • Knowledge of relevant state legislation and policies.
  • Consulting experience working in rural areas, engaging communities, and developing project management plans.
  • Well-developed research and reporting skills, including proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong leadership and motivational ability, with a focus on team collaboration and mentoring.
