Medical Oncology Fellow Position

The Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) is seeking a Medical Oncology Fellow to join their team. As a key member of the oncology department, you will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to research projects, and engage in clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in oncology clinics, including outreach clinics to Horsham or Stawell.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary meetings: breast, upper GI, colorectal, urological, thoracic, neuro-oncology, gynaecological, skin cancer, head & neck.
  • Attend consultant ward rounds and contribute to after-hours on-call and weekend ward round rosters.
  • Undertake independent research with mentorship and play a key role in the clinical trials unit.
  • Participate in teaching, including medical students from universities and junior doctors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualifications and experience in Medical Oncology.
  • Advanced training in oncology, partly or fully completed.
  • Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated commitment to oncology patient care and research.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
