Fellowship Position in Medical Oncology

About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Oncology Fellow to join our cancer centre. This twelve-month position provides comprehensive clinical and research training under the supportive supervision of a collegial and highly experienced consultant team of medical oncologists.
- This is a clinical and research-based role. The Fellow will be actively involved in clinical trials, participate in all relevant clinical trial unit meetings and activities, and undertake independent research under the supervision of an experienced mentor.
- Clinical responsibilities include participation in oncology clinics four days per week, including fortnightly outreach clinics to other locations. The Fellow will participate in breast, upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, urological, thoracic, neuro-oncology, head and neck, gynaecological, skin cancer and inpatient multidisciplinary team meetings and is expected to attend consultant ward rounds two to three times a week.
- Academic responsibilities include participation in regular Journal Club sessions, Mortality and Morbidity meetings, and junior doctor teaching programmes. The Fellow will have protected time to attend education series in Melbourne.
About Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC)
BRICC is a state-of-the-art regional cancer centre that offers comprehensive oncology services, including outpatient chemotherapy, at-home care, inpatient oncology, radiotherapy, and a growing clinical trials unit. The centre operates within a multidisciplinary framework and provides outreach services to Wimmera, Stawell, and Maryborough.
