Job Title: Service Technician

This is a demanding and fulfilling role for an experienced tradesperson who can work independently with minimal supervision. The Estate Upkeep Service Technician will deliver high-quality maintenance services to infrastructure, buildings, and equipment in the Defence Estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver performance-based maintenance, scheduled maintenance, and responsive maintenance to infrastructure, buildings, and equipment.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Respond to customer requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform electrical and refrigeration trade work, including hazardous area works.
  • Use hand or power equipment related to specific trades, and operate various machinery and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or hazards encountered.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, or Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical/Electronic Trade.
  • Restricted electrical work license for relevant State or Territory (refrigeration/air conditioning).
  • RAC01 Refrigerant Handling License for relevant State or Territory.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Current first aid certificate (preferred).
  • Work at Heights Qualification.
  • Safe Work in Confined Space Qualification (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience post-trade within a facilities maintenance environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience performing hazardous area - electrical works.
  • High level of knowledge in electrical industry standards and codes of practice.
