The role of a Treatment Room Team Leader is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the success of our medical centre.
This position requires a skilled and experienced nurse who can provide clinical support, manage treatment room services, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in General Practice or an Acute setting, with a strong passion for healthcare and a commitment to improving the lives of our community.
As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a range of clinical duties, including health assessments, immunisations, and assisting with rostering, recruitment, and managing treatment room staff performance.
They will also work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are followed and implemented effectively.

About the Role
The Treatment Room Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Managing the provision of services within the treatment room and assisting healthcare professionals;
- Conducting a range of clinical duties with direction from treating healthcare professionals, including pathology collection, vaccinations, ECG monitoring, wound dressings, change of linen, cleaning, and sterilisation of equipment;
- Building relationships to create patient ease prior to procedures or treatments;
- Triage patients and assist healthcare professionals in procedures;
- Assisting the Practice Manager with rostering, recruitment, and managing treatment room staff performance;
- Liaising with the Practice Manager and treatment room staff to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are known and followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Registered Nurse qualification with prior experience in General Practice or an Acute setting;
- Leadership experience is highly regarded, with development support if required;
- Passion for healthcare and improving the lives of our community;
- Ability to contribute to the medical centre team and evolving business, with initiative to make decisions and work independently when required;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with patients and colleagues;
- Unrestricted Australian work rights and evidence of vaccination history and immunity.
