Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and make a bigger difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

  • Visiting NDIS participants, assessing their behaviours and needs, designing behaviour support plans and advocating on their behalf.
  • Ongoing support and intervention aligned to the prescribed Behavioural Support Plans as well as recommendations for plan improvement.
  • Making a bigger difference to participants with a range of conditions aged 0 to 65, including complex care, intellectual disabilities, communication difficulties, mental health and behaviours of concern.
Responsibilities
  • Training and supporting colleagues, providers and families to implement behaviour support plans and related strategies.
  • Collaborating with your multidisciplinary team.
  • Taking advantage of exceptional personal development opportunities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Applied Behavioural Analysis or BCBA accreditation (Desirable).
  • Understanding of restricted practices and the role of the Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Embody Better Rehab's values.
  • Have your own car and a valid driver's license.
  • Be able to provide evidence of relevant rights to work as well as proof of COVID vaccinations.
