The Opportunity

Visy, a leading privately owned packaging, paper, and recycling company, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. With a rich history dating back to 1948, Visy has grown to become one of the world's leading companies in their industry.

As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing established accounts in the nominated territory while identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with the wider sales team and other stakeholders to nurture existing customer relationships and build new ones.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, self-motivated, and proactive Business Development Manager who thrives in a dynamic and autonomous environment. You will have a proven track record in B2B sales and be able to demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, motivation, and reliability. Your strong customer service values and attention to detail are essential, and you will need to be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Retaining and growing existing business, and actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Developing timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and managing your territory using Salesforce.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities within our own or our customers' businesses.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders across various disciplines.
  • Complying with and contributing to OHS&E policies and procedures.
What You Will Bring to the Team

We are looking for someone with relevant skills and experience gained through internal or external sales, customer service, or account management. Experience in packaging and/or manufacturing would be highly regarded, as would exposure to customer relationship management systems and Microsoft products. You will be autonomous, with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a solution-focused approach. You will also be a clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building capability.
