About the Role

Thoughts Australia is a leading provider of disability support services in Melbourne, Victoria. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical and emotional support to individuals with disabilities, enhancing their daily lives and promoting independence.
  • Assist with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to provide a comprehensive support service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to Thoughts Australia's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, or a related field, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in disability or aged care, or equivalent community services exposure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, being highly motivated and reliable.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
