About the Role

As a key member of the Merlin Entertainments team, you will play a critical role in driving the profitable operation of our retail outlets in Sydney.

Based in the stunning Darling Harbour, you will be responsible for leading a team of driven Supervisors and Hosts to implement strategies to improve financial and non-financial KPIs across all retail functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the retail units to maximise spends and overall guest experience
  • Using analysis of sales, budget management, and commercial expertise to achieve financial KPIs across all retail functions
  • Overseeing inventory management, including day-to-day ordering, stocktakes, and forecasting to meet business needs
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with the team of Retail Attendants, offering regular support and feedback to foster a culture of growth and respect
  • Driving a guest-obsessed sales culture in the team, aiming to reach upsell and net promoter score targets across all attractions
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including finance, marketing, guest experience, and operations, to ensure a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Upholding a high standard of Health, Safety, and Security across all operations, including the preservation of a psychologically safe workplace within the team
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have strong customer-focused retail management experience in a fast-paced, busy environment.

You will be a confident and calm leader who can deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, while leading your team to deliver world-class retail experiences to every guest.

A strong communicator with the ability to build rapport across the business, you will be able to multi-task, have a flexible and adaptable approach, and meet deadlines, with demonstrated planning, organisational, and time management skills.

Please note that this is a full-time role that will include at least one day of weekend work and potentially some public holidays.
