We are seeking an exceptional engineer to play a key role in shaping our approach to delivering renewable energy projects across Australia.

Job Description:

As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical aspects of modelling, analysis, and design of Power Converter Systems. You will provide expert technical advisory and engineering services for grid-connected and off-grid power generation systems. Your tasks will include delivering high-quality technical reports and documentation, fostering client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with additional qualifications in power systems engineering highly regarded
  • Minimum 5-10 years industry experience
  • Experience working with distributed energy resources (especially wind, solar, and BESS) in the National Electricity Grid
  • Essential experience in developing models/modelling and reviewing outputs in PSS/E, PSCAD
  • Advantageous experience in DSA Tools, PowerFactory, Matlab, RTDS, Fortran &/or manipulating these packages using programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge of Australian grid codes is desirable
  • Familiarity with Australian and international safety and electrical rules, regulations, and standards
  • Strong understanding of power system studies including generator performance standard studies, transient stability, fault analysis, load flow, protection design, and an ability to assess power quality issues
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in proposal development and strategic pursuits
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
