Unlocking Renewable Energy Opportunities

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the development and delivery of innovative power converter systems, connecting renewable energy sources to the grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical aspects of modelling, analysis and design of inverter-based generation systems
  • Provide expert technical advisory services for grid-connected and off-grid power generation systems
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and documentation
  • Foster client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to provide technical due diligence support for transactions

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with additional qualifications in power systems engineering highly regarded
  • Minimum 5-10 years industry experience
  • Experience working with distributed energy resources (especially wind, solar and BESS) in the National Electricity Grid
  • Essential experience in developing models/modelling and reviewing outputs in PSS/E, PSCAD
  • Advantageous experience in DSA Tools, PowerFactory, Matlab, RTDS, Fortran &/or manipulating these packages using programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge of Australian grid codes is desirable
  • Familiarity with Australian and international safety and electrical rules, regulations and standards
  • Strong understanding of power system studies including generator performance standard studies, transient stability, fault analysis, load flow, protection design and an ability to assess power quality issues
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in proposal development and strategic pursuits
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
