We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our People and Culture team. As a key member of our organizational development team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our council.

Your primary responsibilities will include partnering with senior leaders to provide strategic HR advice, implementing HR initiatives, and developing policies and procedures to drive employee engagement and retention. You will also be responsible for providing guidance on industrial relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a sound knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Local Government legislation impacting HR and IR, as well as demonstrated experience in a related field. A relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate field is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will be part of a small, dynamic, and fast-paced team environment, working closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders to achieve our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per annum, depending on skills and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 35-hour working week, car allowance, and opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement.
