**Description**

Patrician Brothers’ College, Blacktown is a vibrant and future focused Catholic school. The College is seeking a Library Technician to support the operation of the Resource Centre.

The position is primarily based in the Resource Centre of the College.

The Library Technician is accountable for:

- Supervising students in non-teaching periods
- Supervising groups of students other than in a classroom situation, including taking
responsibility for the library if no teacher librarian is present or playground supervision if an agreement has been reached
- Receiving, issuing, distributing, stock-taking and safeguarding of teaching resources, goods, supplies, materials and equipment, other than dangerous goods
- Providing technical assistance in the operation of a library, laboratory or technology centre.

Typical Experience and Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
- Appropriate demonstrated experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative.
- Ability to work effectively with an established team.
- Work effectively with colleagues in implementing the aims and practices of the Resource Centre and College.
- A commitment to the Patrician and Catholic ethos of the College.
- Child Protection legislation applies, including a current Working with Children Check.
