Role Overview

Australian Barnardos Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Housing / Tenancy Officer to join their team. This vital role involves managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and meet housing standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of residential properties, conducting regular property inspections, and coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for tenants, providing support and responding to queries regarding tenancy agreements, rent collection, and maintenance issues.
  • Engaging with tenants to foster positive relationships and promote community involvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with housing legislation and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience in housing management or a related field, ideally within social or community housing.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Sound knowledge of housing regulations, tenancy rights, and property management best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
About the Role
