Job Description: Community Support Professional - Multicultural Services

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Professional to join our team in the role of Multicultural Support Officer (MSO). As an MSO, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and community members to achieve self-agency and thrive.

  • You will welcome and orientate new arrivals to Australia, supporting them to build their independence in the community and when accessing services.
  • Provide language support to case workers and engage with ethnic and faith communities to provide information & referrals.
  • Culturally consult with programs to co-design activities by identifying community needs and provide cultural insights to build staff capacity.
About You

To be successful in this role, you must be proficient in written and spoken English and possess strong digital literacy skills. Experience working in family & domestic violence is highly desirable, as is a driver's license and your own vehicle. Preferred languages include Karen, Tibetan, Rohingya, and Tigrinya.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus access to our in-house training and learning opportunities for professional development and growth.
