Culturally Sensitive Family Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Case Work Support Team, passionate about making an impact on the lives of vulnerable young people and families in the community.
About Our Organisation
Our team creates innovative families by providing a safe space for children and young people to heal from trauma and neglect. We work closely with children and young people, encouraging them to build rapport, form attachments, and transition out of survival mode.
The Opportunity
This role will contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our young people, supporting their development and helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting children, young people, and their families who may have significant challenges and complex trauma.
- Working across a rotating roster to cover shifts that include contact visits, in-home supports, respite, transports, and mentoring supports.
- Creating and maintaining a positive therapeutic environment while upholding safety standards.
- Fostering and maintaining a safe environment, ensuring the needs of the young person and their family are met through goal-focused supports.
- Ensuring the completion of daily case notes using internal case management systems.
- Attending monthly team meetings and supervision.
- Adhering to OOHC regulations and organisational safety protocols.
