Culturally Sensitive Healthcare Professional

This role provides a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
The successful candidate will work within the Alcohol Drug Service, providing culturally sensitive care and support to patients and their families.
About The Role- Work closely with patients and their families to provide individualized care and support
- Assist staff to provide culturally safe and respectful care to Aboriginal patients and families
- Liaise with key community organizations to promote health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and health needs
- Strong communication and computer skills, including advocacy and negotiation
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol issues and harm reduction principles
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, multidisciplinary team
