Culturally Sensitive Support Professional

We're seeking an Aboriginal Liaison Officer to play a vital role in creating healthier lives and strong connections with our diverse communities.
This role is critical in building trust in the healthcare system and strengthening community perspectives on what we can offer. You'll advocate for patients and families, engage with the community, and work alongside social workers to achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing culturally safe support to Aboriginal patients and families
- Engaging the community to strengthen the Aboriginal Liaison Officer process and outcomes
- Working closely with social workers to achieve shared goals for patients and their families
- Building and strengthening relationships between healthcare providers, patients, and the local Aboriginal community
Requirements:
- A minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a related field
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and developing effective relationships with healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and advocate on their behalf
