POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you interested in joining a leading Fulfillment Center (FC) that utilizes advanced robotics technology?

We are seeking a skilled leader in Reliability Maintenance Engineering to become part of our dynamic team within one of our highly automated Robotics Fulfillment Centers.

The Reliability Engineering Area Manager will oversee a team of engineering technicians, prioritizing safety through effective training, development, and coaching. This role is essential in ensuring optimal equipment availability by adhering to preventative maintenance schedules and internal protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, support, and mentor a team focused on Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering, ensuring that operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop innovative solutions.
- Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager in partnering with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement and audit safety and compliance programs, ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Enforce network standards and emphasize preventative maintenance to guarantee high equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
- Organize and direct training programs to ensure adequate technical coverage for all shifts.
- Manage local projects or contribute to nationwide initiatives as directed by management.
- Be available to work shifts to maintain close connections with the team and daily operations.

A DAY IN THE ROLE
After prioritizing safety, your primary focus will be on leading your team and enhancing their performance and development, including arranging additional training. You will be stationed at one of our operational sites, allowing you to provide hands-on guidance and gain a comprehensive understanding of site activities. This role involves data collection and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting, as well as the opportunity to devise operational plans that enhance productivity and efficiency. This may include initiating projects aimed at improving operational processes and equipment maintenance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams.
- Experience in fostering relationships with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- A degree in a relevant technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Familiarity with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Competency in computer applications (MS Office, CAD).
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience with preventive maintenance protocols, industrial electrical systems, controls, and robotics.
- Demonstrated capabilities in team leadership, budget management, supplier relations, problem-solving, and customer engagement.
- Knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within Fulfillment Centers, along with maintenance and safety procedures.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Processes.
