Are you interested in leading engineering initiatives at a premier Fulfillment Center (FC) that leverages advanced robotics technology?

We are seeking a seasoned leader in Reliability Maintenance Engineering to join our dynamic team within one of our state-of-the-art Robotics Fulfillment Centers.

The Reliability Engineering Area Manager will oversee a team of skilled engineering technicians, prioritizing safety through effective training, development, and mentorship. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal equipment performance by adhering to preventative maintenance protocols and internal operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide, support, and mentor a team of Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering professionals, ensuring operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop innovative solutions.
- Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager in partnership with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement and monitor safety and compliance programs, fostering a secure work environment for all personnel.
- Enforce network standards and concentrate on preventative maintenance to guarantee high equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
- Organize and direct training initiatives to ensure adequate technical coverage during shifts.
- Manage local projects or contribute to nationwide initiatives as directed by management.
- Be willing to work shifts to maintain close engagement with the team and daily operations.

A DAY IN THE ROLE
Following safety protocols, the core of this position involves leading your team and managing their performance and growth, including coordinating additional training opportunities. You will be stationed at one of our operational sites, allowing you to provide hands-on guidance and gain insights into site activities. This includes data collection and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting. You will also have the opportunity to devise operational strategies aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency, which will involve initiating projects that improve operational workflows and equipment upkeep.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams.
- Experience in fostering relationships with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- A degree in a relevant technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Familiarity with automated systems, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Competence in computer applications (MS Office, CAD).
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices, industrial electrical systems, industrial controls, and robotics.
- Demonstrated capabilities in team leadership, budget management, supplier relations, problem-solving, and customer engagement.
- Knowledge of specialized engineering and facility equipment within the Fulfillment Center, along with maintenance and safety protocols.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Processes.
