Infection Prevention Project Coordinator

A Project Officer position is available to support the Infection Prevention and Control team.
Responsibilities:- Provide secretariat and project management support, including budget management.
- Utilize conceptual, analytical, and research skills with sound judgment and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Exercise high-level organizational skills, including managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Develop strong written and oral communication skills to produce high-level documents that clearly communicate complex issues.
- Establish strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and develop productive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of government processes, particularly in procurement and contract management.
The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the IPC team on work related to the transition of the Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection. This includes undertaking end-to-end procurement, project planning and management, contract management, budget planning, preparing reports and briefings, and providing secretariat support for Commission committees and working groups.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles and practices, as well as experience in project management, budgeting, and contract management. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The organization offers a hybrid model of office-based and remote work, with a regular weekly presence in the office required.
