Job Title: Aboriginal Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aboriginal Teacher Assistant to join our team at Holy Rosary School in Derby. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of our students.

About the Role

This is a full-time/part-time position, working on a temporary basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom, providing support to students, and contributing to the overall learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the delivery of educational programs and activities
  • Provide individualized support to students, including academic and social support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and resources
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Selection Criteria

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and committed to supporting the needs of our students. The successful applicant will possess:

  • A strong understanding of the Catholic ethos and its application in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Sound ICT skills and ability to work independently
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will hold a relevant qualification or be working towards one. They will also possess experience in an educational setting, preferably in a similar role.
