Job Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to drive the success of our data systems.

The Role:
  • You'll be part of a collaborative team, working closely with engineers, tech leads, and TPMs to design and implement effective data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments, preferably within AWS (Aurora, RDS)
  • Proven ability to develop and refine data schemas for fast-paced product environments
  • Strong understanding of query performance, indexing, and relational data modeling
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional squads with engineers, product managers, and TPMs
Your Responsibilities:
  • Database Governance: Ensure the performance, security, and availability of our PostgreSQL systems running in AWS (Aurora, RDS)
  • Data Architecture: Collaborate with squads to design data models, optimize queries, and support feature delivery
  • Query Optimization: Identify and resolve slow queries and bottlenecks, and proactively improve performance at scale
  • Operational Resilience: Monitor, alert, backup, patch, and upgrade production databases as part of our on-call support rotation
Requirements:
