As the driving force behind our finance function, you will oversee strategy, operations, and performance. This entails:

  • **Leadership & Team Development**: Leading, mentoring, and developing a capable Finance team. You will cultivate a high-performance culture, offer development opportunities, and guarantee the team has clear goals, backing, and guidance.
  • **Financial Planning & Reporting**: Managing the financial calendar, encompassing annual budgeting, long-range forecasting, board and investor reporting, and monthly management reporting. You will ensure timely, precise, and insightful financial results are delivered to the business.
  • **Financial Operations**: Supervising core finance operations including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes. You will implement and maintain effective internal controls and ensure robust segregation of duties.
  • **Tax, Audit & Compliance**: Ensuring compliance with statutory financial reporting and tax obligations. You will manage external relationships with financial auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
  • **Process & Systems Improvement**: Identifying and delivering improvements to financial processes, leveraging technology to simplify, streamline, and scale. You will collaborate with the business to enhance budgeting, cost control, and financial transparency.
  • **Strategic Finance & Commercial Support**: Partnering with leaders across the business to support strategic planning, growth initiatives, business cases, pricing strategies, and capital allocation decisions.
  • **Governance & Corporate Management**: Maintaining and contributing to governance frameworks as well as leading financial input into key corporate initiatives such as restructuring, funding, and M&A activity.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A degree in accounting coupled with a professional qualification like a CA/CPA is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in the Technology, Financial Services, or Fintech domain is greatly valued.
  • A passion for guiding, mentoring, and developing others.
  • Proven experience working in similar financial leadership positions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to think critically, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
